Welcome to my blog. This will be a place where I can dish out my own personal brand of humour and random insights about the world. Maybe you'll dig it, maybe you'll hate it. Either way, I've gotten you to read this far, so I think I win.
Yesterday was Father's Day, which was ironic, because I ended up having to tell my girlfriend I was pregnant. Awwkward.
Does "Now That's What I Call Music!" continue to make albums? If so, what number are they on? My guess is 46.
On a serious note, I've been using the self-checkout machines in King Sooper's every time I go and usually there's a person standing off to one side picking their nose and not doing anything. But the last few times I've gone, someone has been consistently moving about and trying to help people. They continue to try and help me even though I don't need it. At first, I found this annoying, then it made me a little sad. Humans are social animals, we like to interact, even if it means the occasional asshole (because we still get to rant about it later), but the service industry was made for talking to complete strangers. Now, with machines, there's a bunch of sorry schmucks out there who want to help you out but can't because you're being helped by a machine.
More and more we're all just getting very self-reliant. These even pertains to my major: film. There are more and more solo film artists out there because due to technology they are capable of doing all the aspects themselves. We are evolving into solitary confinement despite the fact that these days we can communicate better than ever.
That feels like a bit of a downer, but it was on my mind. Check back here for more hilarity and more insight from the strange workings of your old pal Charlie's mind.
